“Delay Boxes, Throttle Stops, and Data Logger Basics”

In the early days of Drag Racing cars could not leave the start line instantly because of driver reflexes and car response time. A solution to this problem was to leave on the last amber light, but this would cause the car to leave to early. In the 1980s, Dedenbear Products had the answer to this problem, and the Delay Box was born. This seminar will cover the installation and proper set-up of a Dedenbear Delay box.

Throttle Stops are used to either slow a car down to run a pre determined E.T. or to run a higher MPH for a given E.T. Usually, the throttle stops are activated by a throttle stop controller. We will cover all angles of Throttle Stops in this seminar.

Knowledge is Power, and in races knowledge can be the difference between a win and a loss. Autometer’s Data Logger will log and store vital information about your run and display it back on a PC or Gauge. This information will let you find and correct problems you would not normally be able to find. Marc will teach you the in and the outs of this sophisticated system.

Team Fel-Pro - Joliet Central High School with a time of 44:22 in the Showdown at SEMA. Team MSD - Elkhart Area Career Center finished second with 56:54.
